Book this facial

My studio is a private, single room, and I only work with one client at a time, so your 75 minutes are unhurried and yours alone. There is no waiting room, no other chairs, and no one else on the schedule during your appointment.

Who this facial is for

This treatment is a good fit if you want skin that looks smoother and more even in texture, but you are not ready for needles, or you simply prefer a topical approach. It works well before an event, as an occasional treat, or as part of a longer skincare routine you build with me over time. Clients come to my Mequon studio from around the North Shore for this one, often because they heard about the hydrogel mask from a friend and want to try it for themselves.

It is not the right choice for everyone, and I would rather tell you that than book you for something that will not make you happy. If your main concern is uneven tone or sun spots, my skin brightening facial is a better starting point. If you are not sure which treatment fits what you are seeing in the mirror, look through the full list of services I offer, or reach out through my contact page and ask me directly.

What happens during your session

  1. Consultation. We talk about your skin, what you want it to look like, and whether this treatment is the right one for today. I look at your skin in good light before we start anything.
  2. Cleanse. I cleanse your skin thoroughly to remove makeup, oil, and surface debris so the mask can sit directly on clean skin.
  3. Exfoliation and prep. Depending on what your skin needs that day, I gently prep the surface so it is ready to receive the mask.
  4. PLLA hydrogel mask. I apply the patented hydrogel encapsulated mask, which contains PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid), and let it work on the skin for the bulk of the appointment. This step is non-invasive. No needles are used at any point.
  5. Finishing products. Once the mask comes off, I follow with finishing products chosen for your skin, to leave it calm and comfortable.
  6. Aftercare instruction. Before you leave, I walk you through exactly what to do, and what to avoid, for the next 12 hours.

Aftercare and how often

The main rule after this treatment is simple, and I say it plainly so there is no confusion. Avoid water and perspiration on the treated skin for 12 hours after your appointment. That means no workouts, no hot yoga, no saunas, and no swimming that day. Beyond that one window there is no downtime, and you can go back to your normal day right away.

The effects of a single treatment commonly last around six weeks. Skin tends to look better the more consistently you come in, and I will help you build an at home routine to support what we do here. The rate is $225 per session. If you want to make this a regular part of your routine, we will decide the rebooking rhythm together, based on how your skin is responding.

Why book with Beret

I am a Licensed Esthetician and a Certified Aromatherapist, certified since 2000, and I have spent more than 30 years hand formulating botanical skincare. I work alone, one client at a time, in a private single room studio at 1320 W Towne Square Rd, Ste. 2, in Mequon. I am the person who greets you, treats you, and follows up with you, not a rotating staff. If you want general background on skincare basics beyond what happens in my studio, the American Academy of Dermatology’s skin care basics is a solid, neutral place to start.

Questions I hear a lot

Is this the same as getting filler injections?

No. This is a topical facial treatment. There are no needles and nothing is injected into the skin. The hydrogel mask sits on the surface of the skin and does not go beneath it. If you want to understand what actual dermal fillers are and how they differ from a topical treatment like this one, the FDA’s page on dermal fillers is a good, neutral reference.

How long do the results last?

The effects of one treatment commonly last around six weeks. Skin tends to look better the more consistently you come in, and I will help you build an at home routine to support it between visits.

Is there any downtime?

Almost none. The one thing to plan around is avoiding water and perspiration on the treated area for 12 hours afterward, so skip workouts, hot yoga, saunas, and swimming that day. Outside of that window you can go straight back to your normal schedule.

Does it hurt or feel uncomfortable?

No. There are no needles involved, so there is no injection discomfort. Most clients describe the mask itself as cool and relaxing, and the appointment as a calm, quiet stretch of time in a private room.

How is this different from your other facials?

Every facial I offer is built around a different goal for your skin. This one centers on a specific hydrogel mask made with PLLA. If your priority is the eye area specifically, my eye treatment is worth a look, and you can compare everything I offer on the full services page.
